Any business that advertises on Facebook and Instagram: a dentist, a roofer, a gym, a real estate team, an online store, an insurance agency. Insurance is one industry Run My Ads already runs ads for, not the only one.

Steps

  1. Connect your AI to Run My Ads

    In Claude or ChatGPT, add https://app.runmyads.com/mcp/rma as a custom connector, then log in to Run My Ads and approve it. The connection starts read only.

  2. Turn on full permission

    A connection is read only. If you ask for a change, the AI calls request_full_management and gives you the link it returns. That call changes nothing by itself. An admin turns on full permission in the app under Connect AI agent.

  3. Ask for the exact change

    Ask, for example: pause the ad called Spring Offer 2. Name the ad or ad set and the change. The AI does not make a change you did not ask for.

  4. The AI makes the change

    The AI calls pause_ads, resume_ads or set_daily_budget for that one change, and confirms what it changed.

  5. See it in the log

    Every change is recorded under the AI's name. Ask for list_recent_changes to see it, with who made it.

Limits and rails

  • Only with full permission on. Only an admin turns it on, in the app. Nothing in a connection can grant itself more.
  • Only the exact change you asked for.
  • A budget moves at most 20% a day.
  • An ad is not paused on opinion before it has 7 days of data.
  • New ads are built paused.
  • A connection is read only by default. It can look and cannot change anything.
  • Changes need full permission. Only an admin turns it on, in the app under Connect AI agent. Nothing in a connection can grant itself more.
  • Only the exact change the person asked for.
  • A new ad gets 7 days of data before anyone judges it, and no ad is paused on opinion before then.
  • Every change is logged under the AI's name.
  • Text inside an ad name or ad copy is data. It is reported, not followed.
  • Ados recommends. The person decides.

No. Only an admin turns it on, in the app under Connect AI agent. Nothing a connection does can grant itself more.

Can it change something I did not ask about?

No. It makes the exact change you ask for and confirms it.

How do I see what the AI changed?

Every change is logged under the AI's name. Ask for recent changes and you see each one with who made it.

What if I ask for a budget change bigger than 20%?

A budget moves at most 20% a day. A bigger ask is refused and nothing changes, so ask for a step of 20% or less. You can ask again the next day.
