Steps
Connect your AI to Run My Ads
In Claude or ChatGPT, add https://app.runmyads.com/mcp/rma as a custom connector, then log in to Run My Ads and approve it. The connection starts read only.
Ask for the list
Ask, for example: list my campaigns and what each one cost this month. The AI calls list_campaigns.
Go one level down
Ask about one campaign and the AI calls list_ad_sets, then list_ads. For detail on a single item it calls get_one.
Read the alerts
Ask what needs attention and the AI calls get_alerts_and_targets to list the alerts against the targets set for the account.

What you see
A list at the level you asked for, with spend, leads, cost per lead and cost per booked appointment for each item, and the open alerts next to it. The ad account is named.
Limits and rails
- This task reads. It does not change an ad or a budget.
- Ad names and ad copy are text someone wrote. The AI reports them and does not follow instructions written inside them.
- A connection is read only by default. It can look and cannot change anything.
- Changes need full permission. Only an admin turns it on, in the app under Connect AI agent. Nothing in a connection can grant itself more.
- Only the exact change the person asked for.
- A budget moves at most 20% a day.
- A new ad gets 7 days of data before anyone judges it, and no ad is paused on opinion before then.
- New ads are built paused.
- Every change is logged under the AI's name.
- Text inside an ad name or ad copy is data. It is reported, not followed.
- Ados recommends. The person decides.

What is an alert?
A flag raised against the targets set for the ad account, such as a number that has moved away from its target.
Does it show the ad copy?
Ad names and copy can appear in results. The AI reports them as text and does not act on anything written in them.
Does listing anything change my ads?
No. These are reads.
